Sidenote: one of the waiters there is super super adorable. tried to set up our friend, handwritten-note-on-the-bill style, what what. didn’t ever hear if he made contact after all or - more likely - ran like hell after meeting the likes of us. still, love that place, screaming toddlers not included. scones scones scones!Brunch today at Alice’s Tea Cup. The city is totally deserted so there was only a 10 minute wait time compared to the usual 45.
If you live in NYC and haven’t been, this is a great place to embrace one’s inner child. Everything is Alice in Wonderland themed. In addition to the food, there is a huge selection of teas, and baked goodies like scones and cupcakes.
My breakfast: Bread pudding style french toast bites with fresh fruit. Amazing.
Alice’s Teacup! I LOVE that place.
Truth. Breakfasts are great there, but the scones are beyond fabulous. My regular is a pot of the chai (though, coming back from India, I don’t know if it will taste as good anymore) and a pumpkin scone.
